Ingredients:

  • 70g green beans

  • 3 thinly sliced garlic cloves

  • salt & pepper

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • generous handful of parmesan cheese

How to:

  • Blanche the green beans by cooking them in boiling water for 1 minute. After 1 minute, remove from the boiling water and put into a bowl of ice water.

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan on a low heat and add the slices of garlic. Cook for 1 minute or until the garlic becomes fragrant.

  • Season with salt and pepper and allow the beans to warm through completely before serving. This should only take a few minutes.

  • Plate up and top with a generous sprinkling of Parmesan cheese

Who said side dishes have to be boring?

This is one of my favourite side dishes to serve with some roasted chicken, it’s so easy to make and still has a big impact on flavour.

With only 3 main ingredients, its doesn’t get any easier than this and it’s most certainly a crowd pleaser when serving family style at the table.

Soon enough you’ll have guests leaving saying things like…

‘I never knew green beans could be so delicious.’

‘That REALLY only contains 3 ingredients?!’
